Tanisha Nicole Reed

October 16, 1982 — December 13, 2021

Tanisha Nicole Reed was born to parents Denise McWilliams and Lawrence Reed, October 16th, 1982 in Omaha, Nebraska. Tanisha gave her life to Christ at a young age. She became a member of Eagles Nest Church in her early twenties. Tanisha was a graduate of Omaha South High School class of 2002. Tanisha also attended Vatterott College to pursue a career as a Dental Assistant, but God had other plans that led to her passion for caring for children, and a fulfilling career as an Assistant Director and a teacher at Heartland Children's Center. Known affectionately as "Tazzy T", Tanisha gained that name by being a part of a dance group called Y.E.S.S.S GIRLS, which was comprised of family and a strong set of friends who till this day if you know her you know that these ladies were more than just friends, they are her family. Tanisha had a passion for reading and had amassed over 150 plus Urban Fiction books, and had taken on the task of writing her own novel. Tanisha was also an avid music lover, if you wanted to know what the best song was to listen to, you knew to call her. Tanisha was all about spending time with her family and friends, she was known by all of those who knew and loved her for her infectious laugh, even if you didn't know what she was laughing about, you couldn't help but to laugh too. Tanisha was the one you could count on to show up when nobody else would. She was such a goofy, loving, compassionate and beautiful person inside and out. Ever so humble, she would help others in ways that she wasn't even aware of. Tanisha will be loved and missed by everyone who had the privilege to call her mother, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend.
