Tevfik Demir Ozcandarli

Tevfik 'Demir' Ozcandarli, 87, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Omaha, NE

He was a devoted husband to Hatice 'Oya' Ozcandarli for 61 years, a cherished father to Esin (Ozcandarli) Wahle and John Ozcandarli, and a proud grandfather ("Dedem") to Otto Wahle.

Demir enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a Geophysical Engineer, working across the United States, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and Asia, where he was respected for his expertise, integrity, and leadership

He was preceded in death by his father Adnan, mother Mukerrem, brother Metin and nephew Altan.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Colorado School of Mines Fund, designated for the Geophysical Engineering Department, Demir's alma mater and graduate program, using the following custom link provided by the university weare.mines.edu/Donate-OzcandarliMemorial .

He will be remembered with love and greatly missed.
