Trudy Olvera

Trudy Olvera, age 74, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the Douglas County Health Center. She was born on August 12, 1951, in Pierre, South Dakota, to Wallace and Bertha (Lunderman) Tapley. Trudy spent the majority of her life in Omaha, Nebraska.

She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed going to bingo and the casino. Trudy lived a carefree and joyful life, bringing laughter to those around her.

In addition to her parents, Wallace Tapley and Bertha Prue, Trudy was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosalinda Rodriguez, and her son, Jai Marco Alvarez.

She is survived by her daughter Marion Rodriguez, and sons Mario Rodriguez and Jose Rodriguez, along with her grandchildren and many extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the L Street Chapel - Good Shepherd.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location, with a luncheon to follow at the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition, 2226 N Street, Omaha, NE 68107.
