Warren Eugene Phillips

Warren "Bud" Phillips passed away on September 19, 2022, in Omaha, Nebraska. Bud was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on January 30, 1944, to the late Richard E. and Ruth (Schlemmer) Phillips.

He was a founding member of The Rumbles and played bass for many venues throughout his life. He also owned an electrical business in Council Bluffs and continued to work in Council Bluffs and Omaha through cancer treatments as long as he could.

Bud is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marj Phillips; daughter, Wendy (Rob) Reiss; sons, Dave Phillips and Rich (Charris) James; grandchildren, Jeannie (Jake) Bahr, Abby (Mitch Bruckner) Reiss, Ellie Reiss and Nathan (Hannah) James; great granddaughter, Ezra Bahr; and brother, Richard K. Phillips.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at First United Methodist Church, 7020 Cass St, Omaha, NE, 68132. Memorials to FUMC music department, Nebraska Humane Society, or animal shelter of your choice.
