Wilbert Coleman, III

Wilbert Coleman, III, age 69, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on January 12, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1956, to Wilbert Coleman, Jr. and Emily Coleman. He is preceded in death by his beloved brother, Jerry Coleman; his grandmother, Ruthie Mae Irvin; and his father, Wilbert Coleman, Jr.

A proud graduate of North High School, Wilbert served in the United States Army. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to supporting his community, with his final role at Campus for Hope, where he found joy in cooking and serving delicious meals to residents. Known for his creativity in the kitchen, he loved developing his own recipes and sharing them with family and friends, always bringing smiles and warmth to those around him. His infectious laugh and deep love for his family will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.

Wilbert leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Tarnesha Middlebrooks; his mother, Emily Coleman; his sisters, Kathy Coleman-Smith, Phyllis Gunter (Lorenzo), and Donna Brooks (Rory); his brothers, Roger Coleman and Ron Coleman (Angela); two grandchildren; aunts; nieces; nephews; and numerous other relatives.

A private committal will be held at the Omaha National Cemetery, located at 14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE.

In honor of Wilbert's life and the joy he brought to others, the family invites all who knew him to remember his kindness and dedication to family and community.
