February 26, 1968 — July 6, 2021

Yolanda (Linda) Brown

Linda was born on February 26, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois and passed on July 6, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 53.

Linda graduated from Omaha North High School in 1986 and went into the workforce after graduation. At her best, Linda loved spending time with her 11 grandchildren and her 3 girls and time with family. She also enjoyed growing plants and prided herself on how they grew under her care and could bring plants back to life that looked like they weren't going to make it. She loved a good Lifetime movie, doing crafts like her covered vases with custom material and flower pen sets that she created and gave as gifts to her family. She also was a great cook and her egg rolls would make you come back for more. She was a hugger and you knew when she saw you, you were getting a hug, like it or not. Linda added a fur baby to her life for several years and Mimi was her favorite companion who went everywhere with her and was dressed to impress, wherever she went. Her favorite color was purple and if it was purple, she wanted it.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Robert Brown- Chicago, IL; grandparents, James & Magalena Brown- Omaha NE and Charlie & OraLee Coleman- Chicago IL; 2 uncles and 1 auntie - Chicago, IL.

She is survived by her loving mother, Lottie Brown- Omaha NE; three beloved children, Valeisa Brown, Anna Brown, and Teresa Brown- Omaha, NE; her beautiful grandchildren, De'Shaun Barber, DaNyia Rucker, Taleisa Davis, Tyleisa Davis, Michael Brown, JaVionna Richey, James Richey, Jordell Richey, Danaijha Mason, DaNesha Mason, Gregoryios Thomas, Jr.; brothers, Robert Brown Jr (Suzanne Combs-Brown) and Michael Brown (Theresa Brown)- Omaha NE
