John Howard Grandfield

John Howard Grandfield Age 91 of Omaha, NE passed away September 20, 2022. He was born on September 26, 1930 in Murray, Iowa to John and Elsie (Faber) Grandfield. John attended Creston Community College and played basketball for the Golden Bears. He had a masters in accounting from Omaha University. John worked in the financial department at Northern Natural Gas.
He served in the US Air Force and was a member of America Legion Post #1.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Ann; sisters, Mary Thompson, Margaret Sayles and Nancy Grandfield.
John is survived by his wife Patricia Walter; sisters, Shirley Hall and Linda Au Buchon (Tom); brother, Larry Grandfield (Mary Jo); brother-in-law, Fr. Tom Fransiscus; nieces; nephews; family and friends.
Inurnment will be 9:00 AM Friday, October 14, 2022 at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
