Yusuf Jahi Kafele aka Joseph Wallace passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at age 61. He was born on March 2, 1962, in Omaha, NE to Clarence Wallace and Vera Mae Salter.

Yusuf had a fondness of reading. He loved to write and published at least one of his books. He loved speaking at events, and he was at one time a professional boxer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Vera Mae Wallace, by his brother James Wallace, his sisters Melva Jean Winn, Gloria Ann Thomas, Sally Wallace, and Voncile Hunter.

He is survived by his sisters Betty Evans of California, Nell Montgomery of Omaha, his brother Clarence Wallace Jr of Omaha, his sisters Linda Taylor of Georgia, Jeanette Johnson of Omaha, Sherri Chism of Georgia, his brother Earl Wallace of Omaha, his sister Pamela Wallace of Omaha as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
